MWT Foods continue to be an active and proactive contributor represented at board and management levels at various significant international organisations. MWT Foods and the Waring Group continue to influence change and sustainability within the nut and dried fruit industry, both in Australia and internationally.

The INC is the International source for information on nuts and dried fruits for: Health, Nutrition, Food Safety, Statistics, Government Standards and Government regulations regarding trade barriers and trade quality standards. INC brings you the first word in the state of the industry worldwide.

(Australian Macadamia Society)

The Australian Macadamia Society is a body of approximately 700 Australian and 20 overseas members representing all facets of the macadamia industry in Australia.

It is estimated that 90% of Australian growers are members of the Society and that they produce 96% of the Australian annual production. The AMS was founded with the objectives of promoting and coordinating all aspects of the industry, to encourage free exchange of ideas and information and to foster goodwill among members.

(Nuts For Life)

Nuts for Life is a nutrition communications initiative established for the Australian tree nut industry to provide information about the nutrition and health benefits of tree nuts.

Nuts for Life aims to provide useful, accurate and up-to-date information on the nutritional importance of tree nuts in the diet. The nutrition team at Nuts for Life is committed to providing nutrition information that is based on sound science.

Nuts for Life is facilitated by Horticulture Australia Limited in partnership with the Australian tree nut industry since May 2003. It is funded by voluntary contributions from the industry. The Australian Government provides matched funding for all of HAL’s R&D activities

(Australian Nut Industry Council)

The Australian Nut Industry Council is the federation representing the seven Australian nut producing industries at a national level. We aim to strengthen, unify and promote the production, marketing and consumption of nuts within Australia and internationally.

The Association of Food Industries Inc. is committed to developing programs that facilitate the business of its member companies, encourage free and fair trade, and foster compliance with US laws and regulations.


Troy Johnson member of AFI and currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Nut and Agriculture Committee.


(Australian Cashew Association)

Aim: To promote the consumption of cashew kernel in all consuming countries, particularly Australia.  To develop a common cashew kernel specification for Australia and globally.  To develop and enhance conditions of trade for Australia and globally. To develop an arbitration system for Australia and globally.


To work together namely and not limited to VINACAS (Vietnam), Export Promotion Council (India), INC (International Nut & Dried Fruit Foundation Council), AFI (American Food Importers Association), ANIC (Australian Nut Industry Council), N4L (Australian Nuts for Life), Dutch Dried Fruit Association  (Netherlands), Waren-Verein der Hamburger Borse (Germany), CENTA UK, (Combined Edible Nut Trade Association), Brazilian Cashew Association, Chinese Tree Nut Association, African Cashew Alliance, JNA (Japan Nut Association), and various chambers of commerce and trade commissioners.

(Peanut & Tree Nut Processors Association)

Established in 1939, the PTNPA has spent more than 70 years representing the owners and operators of companies (large and small) who shell, process, salt and/or roast peanuts and tree nuts. In addition, our members also supply equipment and services that are critical to our industry
